You've been talking about writing a book for years.
Maybe you've got a folder full of half-finished chapters. Maybe you're a coach who's spent years teaching a framework that deserves to reach more people. Or perhaps you've lived one hell of a life and know there's a story in there worth telling.
You've got the ideas. You've got the stories. Now you need someone to help you pull it all together.
I'm Meg Pearson, a writer, author, and ghostwriter based in Ontario, Canada. I help coaches, entrepreneurs, and people with something meaningful to share turn their experiences and expertise into nonfiction books.
And yes, I can do the actual writing for you.
Since then, I've authored books, written for publications, hosted podcasts, and spent years working with coaching and breathwork clients who've trusted me with some of the most personal parts of their lives.
I've learned that sometimes we're so close to our own experiences that we can't quite see what makes them worth sharing.
I spent more than a decade directing and producing television, where asking questions and finding the story was literally my job.
As your ghostwriter, I'll interview you, get curious about your experiences, and help you develop a book that captures your ideas and sounds like YOU.
I'll bring my storytelling experience, writing skills, and slightly bossy ex-television-director brain to the process.
You bring yourself and a willingness to talk.
So if you've ever thought, "I wish I could just hire someone to write my book," well, that's exactly what I'm here for.
We'll start with an in-depth conversation about your story, your ideas, and why you want to write a book in the first place. Maybe you want to share your life's experiences., you're hoping to grow your coaching business or create more speaking opportunities.
We'll figure out what you want your reader to take away, and I'll develop a proposed outline and chapter structure.
Through a series of recorded interviews, I'll ask questions that help you explore your experiences and teachings in greater depth.
You don't need to be an experienced writer. You don't even need to know how to organize all those thoughts flying around your head. That's what you hire me for.
I'll take our interviews and turn them into chapters, sharing drafts with you as we go so you can provide feedback.
You'll have opportunities to review, revise, and make sure your voice comes through. By the end of our time together, you'll have a completed manuscript ready for the next stages of editing and publishing.
Thought-leadership and business books: Take your coaching methodology, established course, or professional expertise and develop it into a book that supports your business.
Memoirs and teaching memoirs: Tell your story with purpose, even if you're still figuring out how to write a memoir that does justice to everything you've experienced.
Personal development and self-help books: Turn your ideas, lived experiences, and hard-earned lessons into something other people can learn from.
I specialize in nonfiction books, particularly:
I'm a former television director turned writer, author, coach, and facilitator.
I know how to ask good questions, listen for what matters, and organize big, messy, meaningful material into something people can actually read.
I've also writen my own book using this process, The Brand That Breathes, so I know how personal this process can be.

Writer & Author
Process
I'm currently planning for approximately six to twelve months, depending on the length and complexity of your book, our interview schedule, and the time needed for revisions.
Nope! I'm a ghostwriter based in Ontario, Canada, but all of our interviews and writing collaboration can happen virtually. I can work with authors across Canada and internationally.
When you hire me as your ghostwriter, I do the writing based on our interviews and conversations. As your book writing coach, I help you develop your idea, organize your chapters, and move through the writing process yourself.
My primary focus is developing and writing your manuscript. Once it's finished, I can help you understand the next steps toward publication, including what additional editing, formatting, and publishing services you'll need.
Absolutely. Some people come to me with chapters already written, while others have an idea they've been carrying around for years. We'll start wherever you are and develop the structure together.
